I wrote this song back in my sophomore year of high school. It's a crowd favorite at shows, and holds a special, personal place for me. Written from personal experience, it's one of the more emotionally driven songs I've written.
lyrics
Broken glass, running away
Stupid action, wish I had stayed
Feelings now turn to pain
Stupid emotion, why won’t it fade
Partly broken, kissing the rain
Hopelessly open at the sight of your face
Feelings now turn to hate
Stupid emotion, why won’t it fade
What a disaster we’ve become
The sound of your voice takes me away
It’s taking me back to the death of that day
My love still remains the same
It’s a stupid emotion, wish it would fade
What a disaster we’ve become
Everything fades away with you
What a disaster we’ve become
Partly broken, kissing the rain
Hopelessly open at the sight of your face
What a disaster we’ve become
Everything fades away with you
What a disaster we’ve become
Broken glass, running away
Stupid action, wish I had stayed
